Job Summary:
A leading national law firm is looking to add a skilled Corporate/M&A Associate to its New York office. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior attorneys on complex transactions involving both public and private companies, within a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Support all phases of M&A transactions from inception through closing
- Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents and agreements
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts across internal teams and external advisors
- Manage transaction timelines, including key milestones such as signings and closings
- Maintain and oversee detailed deal checklists to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates as needed
- Contribute to a variety of corporate matters, including capital markets and potential IPO-related work
- Assist with additional strategic and transactional projects as required
What You Bring:
- 7–9 years of experience in corporate and securities law
- Significant exposure to large-scale public company transactions
- Strong drafting and negotiation capabilities with hands-on deal experience
- Familiarity with securities regulations and capital markets transactions
- Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work across teams and functions
- Client-facing confidence with the ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated initiative and desire to take on increased responsibility
- Admission to the New York Bar, in good standing
