What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Dizario Search?
We are working on a search near Evansville for a Quality Engineer to support for our client, a leader in manufacturing with products in the automotive, transportation, industrial, and consumer goods markets. The Quality Engineer is responsible for defining, controlling, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure stable operations and first-time-right product quality. The position also supports new product introductions and new equipment/process startups by establishing process requirements, validating changes, and sustaining robust quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong safety culture and model core values while driving zero-incident performance in the operating area.
- Define, manage, and optimize process settings and control systems to ensure stable, capable, and efficient processes that deliver robust quality.
- Lead and support major quality and capability improvement projects, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross-functional quality/efficiency initiatives.
- Initiate, validate, and document process changes in line with MOC and change management requirements, and maintain compliance with quality contracts and specifications.
- Provide technical support and coaching to production teams, technicians, and customers, applying SPC and quality tools to monitor and improve performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of relevant manufacturing or process/quality engineering experience.
- Experience in quality assurance and/or quality systems, with working knowledge of SPC and structured problem-solving/quality tools (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, PDCA, A3, 5S, value stream mapping, visual management).
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
