Oracle Cerner Implementation Program Director with deep expertise in Oracle Health / Cerner EHR technologies to lead a multi-year, multi-site Cerner implementation across our east coast hospital system. This strategic, high-impact role will oversee and advise a large-scale development and build team, ensuring successful delivery of the EHR program aligned with clinical, operational, and strategic goals. This is a contact to hire role with conversion after 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Cerner Implementation Program Director with deep expertise in Oracle Health / Cerner EHR technologies to lead a multi-year, multi-site Cerner implementation across our east coast hospital system. This strategic, high-impact role will oversee and advise a large-scale development and build team, ensuring successful delivery of the EHR program aligned with clinical, operational, and strategic goals. This is a contact to hire role with conversion after 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Cerner EHR across multiple hospital sites.
- Oversee program governance, planning, execution, and delivery in alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams including technical architects, developers, clinical informaticists, and vendor partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between hospital leadership, Oracle Health, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, data security, and interoperability requirements.
- Drive change management, training, and adoption strategies across clinical and administrative teams.
- Monitor program KPIs, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
- Provide executive-level reporting and strategic guidance throughout the program lifecycle.
- 10 years of experience in healthcare IT, with 5 years in Oracle Cerner EHR implementations.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-site EHR rollouts.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Health architecture, Cerner Millennium, and related modules.
- Strategic and Critical Thinker.
- PMP Certification is required.
- Master’s degree or higher in Health Informatics, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in hybrid environments with remote and onsite teams.
- Experience with Oracle Health SCS (Strategic Cloud Services).
- Familiarity with clinical workflows, revenue cycle, and HIM systems.
- Prior experience in academic medical centers or large hospital systems.
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications.
- Hybrid work model (remote/onsite) with consistent travel to hospital sites (East Coast) as needed monthly
