As a Quality Technician, you will perform quality inspections on components and assemblies produced in East Peoria Undercarriage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
- Record inspection or test data and quantities inspected or graded.
- Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Analyze test data and make computations necessary to determine test results.
- Inspection of undercarriage parts in assembly operations and inspect components.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Highschool diploma or GED with 2-5 years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Inspection experience.
- Use of simpler tools like calipers/ micrometers.
- Microsoft office experience.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Blueprint reading.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Team Player.
- Self-Motivated.
- Eager to learn.
- Detail Oriented.
- Ability to openly communicate quality issues and nonconformances to others.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of interdepartmental teammates and cross functional team members.
