Position overview:
Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determine and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Assemble and test a variety of tube bundles, coils, and shells. The assembler will complete final assembly, testing, and quality control of all parts. Responsible for utilizing the Quality Traveler system to track all critical-to-quality metrics and ensure all products are built to acceptable design and assembly standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment.
- Assemble and test a variety of tube bundles, coils, and shells.
- Accurately complete all sub-assemblies prior to installation on unit
- Maintain dimensional accuracy on assembliesutilizingtorque wrenches, fixtures, tooling,gagesand other measuring devices.
- Perform precision harness wiring assembly tasks according to engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy.
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and work instructions to complete units’ assembly as designed and to established quality standards.
- Fit parts to close tolerances.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical/ electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical School Degree or Completion of an Apprenticeship Program is desired.
- English comprehension isa mustwith goodverbal and written communication skills.
- Good mechanicaland electricalaptitude.
- General understanding of mechanical blueprints and highly sophisticated equipment.
- Ability to listen and learn from instructions.
- Positive attitude to support company policies and ability toparticipatein the department's training programandall 5S initiatives.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing responsibilities.
- Work overtime as needed when business demands require.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
