Job Title: MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (Med-Tech)

Job Description:
- Adhere to the Consumer’s Bill of Rights per DATS policy/procedure manual
- AMAP will follow all company health and safety policies/procedures including, but not limited to OSHA Standards, Universal Precautions, use of PPE, and medical aseptic practices.
AMAP must notify RN immediately:
- Any changes in signs or symptoms
- Medications need to be disposed of
- Medication appears unusual
- New prescriptions are ordered
- Consumer refuses medications
- Medications were not able to be given in acceptable timeline
- If there is any doubt or question about any part of the medication administration process
- If there are any questions about PRN medications
- If there is any deviation from the “rights” including: consumer, drug, dosage, time, route and record
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High school degree/GED required
- Background check to ensure that they are not listed on the state administered Nurse Aide Abuse Registry
- Have a criminal background check and not have any convictions for crimes against persons or have drug related charges
- CPR/First Aid Training
- Competent in reading, writing, and comprehending English
- Successfully completed the WV DHHR AMAP program and be approved by authorized AMAP RN.
- Pass state competency test
- Participate in retraining every 2 years by AMAP RN.
- Be deemed competent by the AMAP RN.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
