What are the responsibilities and job description for the Representative Payee position at Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services?

Job Title: Representative Payee

· Position Type: Full-Time

Job Duties:

· Coordinate the personal finances for all DATS clients with Representative Payee service needs.

· Ensure coordination with the local bank for any banking needs for new payee service needs

· Ensure proper budgeting of client finances to ensure all bills and spending needs are properly met.

· Reconcile all bank accounts monthly

· Generate monthly financial payee reports and distribute to all required parties

· Establish any required utility or bill accounts when necessary

· Maintain organized payee files for auditing purposes

· Maintain records of client personal spending

· Complete, submit and file all representative payee reports for social security needs.

· Coordinate with case management and any relevant parties for any large purchase needs

· Maintain proper receipt tracking for all purchases.

· Coordinate with all IDT members for clients to ensure all required payee information is generated and completed in a timely manner.

· Maintain files in a manner that is always prepared for annual auditing.

Position Requirements:

High school degree/GED required
18 years of age or older
Knowledge of basic accounting skills
Valid driver's license
Ability to work in an office setting
Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
