Position Summary
The Receiving & Material Handling Specialist independently manages all incoming deliveries to the facility, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials and medical device products. This position is responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, maintaining inventory accuracy in our ERP system (Infor Syteline CloudSuite), and coordinating with Distribution Management, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure timely material availability. The specialist serves as the primary resource for receiving processes and inventory accuracy.
Position Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Infor Syteline/CloudSuite preferred)
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through on-site training
• Strong attention to detail and proven inventory accuracy
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook) Preferred:
• Prior experience in healthcare, medical device, or regulated manufacturing
• Cycle count or inventory audit participation
• Demonstrated ability to train or mentor warehouse staff
• FDA or ISO 13485 compliance familiarity
• OSHA 10-hour safety certification
• Problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution
Additional:
• Safety training or experience in regulated environments
• Experience with Factory Track or similar warehouse management technology
Key Duties & Responsibilities Receiving & Material Handling

• Use checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy, traceability, and FDA/ISO compliance
• Document all receipts accurately and escalate complex issues to the supervisor
• Move, organize, and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to appropriate storage or production areas
• Label and prepare materials for production or shipment according to company and regulatory requirements
• Maintain material traceability and lot control throughout the warehouse
Warehouse Mobility, Technology, & ERP

Cross-Functional Team Support
• Support warehouse, production, and logistics teams by staging materials and ensuring inventory availability for production schedules
• Assist in other warehouse areas (picking, shipping, inventory counts) as needed to support overall operations
• Respond flexibly to changing priorities and production demands
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production Planning, and other departments regarding material status
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
• Proactively identify and investigate receiving, inventory, and order issues
• Check for missing information, incorrect shipments, quality concerns, or documentation holds
• Communicate with internal teams to gather required data and resolve discrepancies
• Document issues and escalate unresolved or recurring problems to management with recommended solutions
• Support root cause analysis for inventory accuracy or compliance issues
General Operations & Communication
• Keep work and storage areas organized, clean, and well-labeled at all times
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards in a regulated healthcare manufacturing environment
• Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Demands
• Regularly required to walk, bend, and stand for long periods
• Use hands and arms to handle, move, or label materials
• Routinely lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely
Limits of Authority
• Enter receiving data and ERP transactions as instructed and trained
• Request and organize information from internal teams; escalate unresolved issues to supervisor
• Document and report discrepancies; make recommendations for resolution
• Receive guidance on complex or non-standard situations
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly wage: $22 - $24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Benefits include:
