Production Manager

Sunlite Plastics, a division of Diversatek, Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager at our Germantown, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. Sunlite Plastics is a plastics extrusion company providing custom tubing solutions primarily to medical markets.
The Production Manager has overall responsibility for production-related functions at the manufacturing facility. This role provides leadership and direction to production personnel while ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and compliance with ISO standards. The Production Manager works cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Quality, and Inventory teams to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct all production activities across manufacturing areas
- Assess manpower requirements to meet production demands
- Maintain and execute the master production schedule
- Perform backorder evaluations and prioritize production accordingly
- Maintain efficiency, productivity, and quality standards
- Assist with inventory-related activities
- Collaborate with Process Engineering on process improvements
- Ensure plant cleanliness, organization, and adherence to all safety regulations
- Train production personnel on job duties, quality documentation, and safety rules
- Initiate non-conformance reports for quality system deficiencies
- Ensure compliance with all ISO regulations through the Quality Management System
Authority & Decision-Making
- Hire and terminate production personnel
- Recommend salary adjustments for production employees
- Implement disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies
- Stop production when non-conformities are identified
- Enforce all applicable ISO and company procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Advanced education, technical training, or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and ISO standards
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment
