The Production Assembler will be a key member of the production team responsible for creating Diversatek’s next generation medical gastrointestinal diagnostic products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly come up to speed on existing production processes and be motivated to help develop and improve these processes. This is a full time, first shift position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, troubleshoot and test electromechanical systems in a production environment
- Gather, maintain, compile and manipulate technical data from production tests results using released work instructions
- Assist production personnel troubleshooting assemblies
- Other tasks as assigned
- Perform production related duties as assigned
- Perform inventory activities
- Keep work area and plant clean and orderly
- Inspect all work performed
- Perform any duties required by Production Supervisor
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Follow all work instructions
- Follows all required ISO and FDA regulations as communicated through the Quality Management System
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience as an assembler working in research and/or production environment
- Must be able to solder fine pitch components and build very small assemblies using a microscope
- Must be comfortable using a microscope for the majority of a working shift.
- Familiarity with power tools
- Very strong hand/eye coordination
- Very strong attention to process detail
- Proficient in using a PC and using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
