The Warehouse Supervisor is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a warehouse and school environment, overseen by the Director of Procurement, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

Qualifications:

Minimum of high school diploma or GED |

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
|
Supervises the overall activity of the Warehouse in an efficient and ethical manner including: hires, supervises, and evaluates Warehouse staff; develops and implements policies and procedures to increase operational effectiveness; monitors budget adherence; manages staff assignments; plans and implements long-range goals and objectives and monitors progress of these goals; prepares and analyzes reports for submission to the Board and Administration |

Provide direction and coordination for the orderly and secure storage of supplies and equipment which will afford the most efficient use of space and labor and assure that storage procedures are within safety guidelines |
|
Provide direction and coordination for security, maintenance, and general cleanliness of warehouse and vehicles |
|
Manage and assume responsibility for receiving supplies and equipment and ensure they are in acceptable condition and in accordance with quantities and specifications ordered in a safe and orderly manner |
|
Conducts and/or coordinates routine property inventories at warehouse while reviewing quality and usage of all stocked items to adequately address the needs of the district |
|
Manage delivery schedules to truck and warehouse personnel which includes routing, timing, and truck space utilization considerations |
|
Manage assembly of equipment as it arrives and deliver as scheduled |
|
Manage delivery of textbook and other instructional materials with Curriculum Department |
|
Manage district warehouse staff. Assign workload to subordinates, resolve problems regarding work situations, determine priorities and perform related duties |
|
Maintain appropriate records that ensure accurate inventories of equipment and supplies daily |
|
Manage removal of surplus materials and equipment from schools and departments and dispose of in accordance with board policy and established procedures |
|
Development and recommend improvements in current office, storeroom, and warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs |
|
Manage the delivery, assembly, and set up of all supplies and equipment for all building renovations and new schools in conjunction with school operations and construct departments |
|
Operate school district owned vehicles and equipment in a safe manner and assume responsibility for all supplies and equipment on the vehicle |
|
Operate and manage all warehouse equipment. Including servicing forklift and other warehouse machinery |
|
Complete all projects in a competent manner and ensure proper recording of time and materials |
|
Ensure adherence to good safety procedures |
|
Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policy |
|
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee |
