Position Responsibilities:
- Supporting the district’s Human Services Department
- Collaborating with Director of Human Services, Chief Financial Officer, Payroll Specialist and other district office support staff
- Onboarding and supporting employees at all levels of the organization
- Supporting facets of Human Services such as FMLA, contracts, teacher certification, new teacher orientation, job postings onboarding processes, reporting and compliance measures
- Providing support with our staff evaluation system
- Backup Payroll Specialist
- Knowledge of the Office or Retirement Services and state and local public school reporting requirements
- Serves as District Office Receptionist

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, a related field, or equivalent job experience in human resources and/or office payroll functions preferred
- Strong technical/technology skills required (MicroSoft Office, Excel, etc.)
- Evidence of high standards of ethics, confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters
Reports to: Director of Human Services and Chief Financial Officer
Wage: $26.66 - $30.57 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Terms of Employment:
• Full-time, 12-month position
• Regular work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and administrative approvals.

We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus.
