Western Nassau Wholesale Distribution Construction Company seeks Accounts Payable Specialist.
General Responsibilities:
- Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
- Review and reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Work with vendors on early pay discounts
- Work with vendors to waive shipping fees
- Work with Sales Team on vendor invoice discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting.
- Review account credit limits.
- Comfortable with speaking to vendors
- Review and enter new vendors
- Generate checks for invoices
- Review and analyze current accounts.
- Filing, organizing, scanning docs as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
- An Analytical mind/comfortable with numbers
- 5-10 years of related experience.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word/Excel is required.
- Strong organizational and negotiating skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation & Benefits:
