I'm working with a well established CPA firm in Miami Lakes that's growing quickly and turning work away because demand is outpacing capacity.
They're looking for a Tax Manager who wants to become a key part of the leadership team and, for the right person, there's a genuine path to Partner.
One thing gave me a lot of confidence in this opportunity, and it wasn't something the Partners told me. A few months ago, I helped a Senior Accountant join the firm. Last week I gave them one of my usual check in calls.
They'd come from another similar sized CPA firm where they were micromanaged, working 50 hour weeks all year, and completely ready for a change.
When I asked how things were going, the first thing they mentioned wasn't the salary or the clients. It was the people and the culture.
They told me how trusted they felt, how approachable the Partners were, and how refreshing it was to work somewhere that didn't feel like someone was constantly looking over their shoulder.

The preparation work is largely handled by an offshore team, leaving you to focus on reviewing returns, advising clients, building relationships, and helping lead the tax department.
You'll work with S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, closely held businesses and high net worth individuals, with plenty of client contact and advisory work.
The Partners believe in a simple approach. Look after your clients, get the work done, and they'll trust you to manage your time. Busy season is busy, but outside of that there's flexibility and no culture of staying late just for the sake of it.

What they're looking for
- CPA required
- 4 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with S Corporations, Partnerships and Individual tax
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns
- Confident managing client relationships
- International tax or UltraTax experience is a bonus
