I am representing an independent CPA firm in North Dallas TX that is looking for a Tax Associate with at least 18 months of public accounting experience.
This role offers the chance to build stronger technical judgement, gain more exposure to clients, and work closely with experienced tax professionals who can explain the thinking behind the work.
You will support individual and privately owned business clients, prepare federal and state returns, assist with research and planning, and become more involved in client communication as your confidence grows.
Because the firm is independent, your work will be visible and you will have direct access to the people reviewing it. That means more practical feedback, more opportunity to ask questions, and a clearer route to earning greater responsibility.
The firm is looking for someone with experience preparing individual and business returns. Lacerte experience would be useful, but training is available.
You do not need to match every point perfectly. Relevant tax experience, curiosity, and a genuine desire to keep developing are just as important.
