What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Manager position at Distinct | North America?
Recently I posted a video on Linked In about the impact of Private Equity on the Public Accounting market. It prompted the Partner of a recently acquired firm to call me.
He politely challenged some of the points I'd made, stating not all PE backed firms are the same.
He went on to outline some of the changes he's seen in his firm, post integration:
- Better work life balance. Fifty Five hours is the Busy season expectation. Previously they were hitting Sixty Five.
- Improved tech and processes (which has impacted the point above)
- Better healthcare and wider benefits package
He's asked me to help him hire Tax Managers and Senior Managers. Superb progression opportunities as they're looking to hand over books of business from soon to be retiring Partners.
