Senior Tax Accountant | $80k - $100k | Spartanburg, SC

If you have just come out of a brutal busy season… this will feel like a different profession.

Busy season caps at around 45 hours and you’ll never work on a Saturday,

Not “in theory”. Not “depending on deadlines”. Actually 45. Then you go home.

This is an office based team that enjoys working together, keeps things simple, and does not believe in burning people out to get work done. Once you are settled, there is flexibility to work hybrid.

They are not desperate to hire. They want the right person. Someone experienced, steady, and able to take ownership without needing to be chased.

The work

A proper mix of individual and corporate tax using Drake for individual returns and UltraTax for corporate work.

The workload is manageable, the expectations are clear, and the quality bar is high without the chaos that usually comes with it.

The team

Led by a Partner who has been doing this for decades and still loves what he does. No ego, no micromanagement. He cares about the work, trusts his people, and would much rather be planning his next cruise with his wife than checking who is online at 6pm.

What they are looking for

- A seasoned tax preparer with strong experience across individual and corporate returns

- Someone confident working independently and owning their clients

- EA or CPA is a bonus, but experience is what matters
