What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Distinct | North America?
“I want the Mothers and Fathers in my team to have time to play Mommy and Daddy”.
Many firms talk about “work-life balance”. These guys actually live it.
“Playing Mommy and Daddy” was a quote I wrote down during a meeting with the Managing Partner of this small firm along the river in Lawrence, MA. He also said he never expects anyone in his firm to have to make a choice between work and family commitments. Family always comes first.
This is probably why the average length of tenure at the firm is 20 years.
The long tenure of your new colleagues doesn’t mean you’re going to be in a “Dead man’s shoes” situation. The firm is growing, mainly through referrals and its superb reputation in the market. This will provide opportunities for you to progress in your career.
We’re helping them find someone with around 5-10 years of experience doing accounting and QuickBooks work. You’ll start as a Supervisor/ Manager. How far you want to go after that is up to you.
Job Responsibilities:
-Running recurring outsourced CFO/MAS engagements.
-Managing a book of CAAS clients.
-Monthly and quarterly reporting, journal entries etc.
-Reviewing junior team members' work.
After 6 months, you’ll get unlimited PTO (you need to take at least 24 days). You’ll get generous contributions to your health insurance, 100% paid short and long term disability insurance and the option to work from home 2 days per week, as well as several other strong benefits.
