What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Tax Analyst position at DisruptiX Talent Solutions?
DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with a large, national services organization on a Payroll Tax Analyst opening. This role will have a strong focus on improving payroll tax compliance, processes and overall accuracy. They are looking for someone who can come in, get hands-on and help clean things up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance (federal, state, local)
- Prepare and review filings (941, 940, W-2/W-3) and amendments
- Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and related general ledger accounts
- Resolve tax notices, discrepancies, and coordinate with agencies/vendors
- Support audits and maintain SOX-compliant processes
- Partner with Payroll, Accounting, and Finance on reporting and accruals
- Assist with process improvements, documentation, and system enhancements
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of payroll tax or payroll accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Experience with payroll tax filings, amendments, and reconciliations
- Understanding of payroll tax accounting (accruals, liabilities, GL integration)
- Experience in high-volume or multi-entity environments preferred
- Systems experience with UKG, ADP, Workday, Ceridian/Dayforce (or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
