They are entering a major growth phase with increased demand from government, education, healthcare and gaming clients. To support this expansion, they are adding a Low Voltage Engineer who can bring strong technical depth in AV, security systems and structured cabling.
Role Overview
They are searching for an engineer who is confident across AV design, low voltage systems and structured cabling. The talent pool is small, and most candidates only excel in one or 2 areas. The focus is at least:
- 75% proficient in AV (You are strong in CTS-I)
- 75% proficient in Security (You are strong in Lenel / Avigilon / milestone)
- 25% proficient in Structural cabling (You understand the general rules around RCDD / BICSI)
Responsibilities
• Troubleshooting issues across GC, design build and maintenance projects
• Analyze blueprints, specifications and conduct site walks to gather all required project information
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to support project success
• Lead bid preparation, manage the bid calendar and ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met
• Review and validate subcontractor and supplier pricing while providing bid day analysis and value engineering options
• Deliver clean project hand off packages and support Project Managers to ensure seamless execution
Requirements
• Minimum five years of experience in low voltage, AV, security or structured cabling engineering
• AV design capability with relevant certifications such as CTS-I required
• Experience with security platforms including Lenel, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec or RS2
• Strong structured cabling knowledge including BICSI standards; RCDD is a significant plus
• Proven ability to prepare estimates, interpret technical drawings and manage subcontractor coordination
• Strong communication, problem solving and MS Office proficiency with a professional client facing approach
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
