CT Technologist – Mobile Cardiac Imaging (Contract)
Location: Downtown San Francisco, CA
Contract Length: 2–4 months (August – End of September, with potential extension/restart in November)
Schedule: Full-time contract (potential for Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:00pm or 4x10 schedule)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to support a mobile imaging program providing preventative health scans for employees at corporate locations. This role will focus primarily on performing cardiac CT scans, including gated heart scans and calcium scoring, while ensuring high-quality imaging and an excellent patient experience.
The CT mobile unit will be stationed at one location in downtown San Francisco for the duration of the project. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing mobile healthcare initiative with potential for longer-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in a mobile imaging environment, specializing in gated cardiac scans and coronary calcium scoring
- Properly place ECG leads and prepare patients for cardiac imaging procedures
- Operate CT equipment and ensure accurate image acquisition (experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred)
- Manually enter and verify patient information into the scanner system as needed
- Support patient registration/pre-registration workflows to ensure efficient scan schedules
- Review scans for completeness and prepare imaging information to be sent to radiologists for interpretation
- Maintain a fast-paced workflow with approximately 15-minute patient appointment slots
- Follow proper imaging protocols, safety standards, and patient care procedures
- Assist with additional operational tasks when not scanning, including support within laboratory, administrative, or finance functions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Experience performing cardiac CT scans and calcium scoring required
- Ability to properly place cardiac leads for gated heart scans
- Experience working with Siemens CT scanners preferred (Siemens Perspective experience a plus)
- Prior mobile imaging/mobile CT experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail with patient information, imaging quality, and documentation
- Flexible team player willing to support other business areas during downtime
Contract Details

- Potential break in October with opportunity to resume in November
- Potential for extension into a longer-term position based on business needs
