Seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer to support the design of commercial and industrial electrical infrastructure systems.
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with experience in electrical power systems design for facilities such as data centers, clean rooms, pharmaceutical facilities, schools, healthcare facilities, and commercial office spaces.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California or actively working toward licensure.
**This role is focused specifically on power distribution and building electrical systems—NOT electronics, PCB design, or software engineering.
This role is focused on building power systems design and construction support, including preparation of drawings and engineering calculations for permitting and construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Electrical power distribution design for commercial/industrial facilities
- Lighting design, circuiting, and controls
- Equipment power design and coordination
- Single-line diagrams and system layouts
- Panel schedules and load calculations
- Emergency power systems (generators)
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
- Short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
- Protective device coordination
- Photometric analysis
- Power metering and energy analysis
- California Energy Code (Title 24) compliance documentation
Key Must Have’s:
Degree in EE (power systems preferred) plus minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical power systems/building design. She said they are happy to take someone “greener” and help train them. Degree and less than 5 years’ experience.
Experience designing commercial or industrial electrical infrastructure (not electronics or embedded systems)
Experience ‘electrical power distribution design’ for commercial buildings.
Knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) with CA Amendments.
Must be able to read blueprints, be able to create and read a single line diagram
Do systems layouts
Understand Panel Schedules
Be able to do electrical load calculations.
Must be a team player, works well with others
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – ideal – or working towards it.

- AutoCAD – should be familiar with this
- Revit = should be familiar with this
- SKM Power Tools - Nice to have
- AGi32 (photometric) – nice to have
- EnergyPro (Title 24 compliance) – nice to have
