Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier California law firm to hire an energetic, committed, and diligent senior associate or of counsel with seven or more years of litigation experience to join their Trial & Litigation Practice Group, with a partial focus on eminent domain matters. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will share the firm’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in dynamic areas of the law and will enjoy the strategic aspects of litigation, including crafting complex litigation strategies and presenting nuanced constitutional arguments persuasively.
Key Qualifications
- 7 years of litigation experience
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior analytical, research, and writing skills
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Significant experience with law and motion practice in state and federal court, including dispositive motions
- Proven ability to manage and build cases for trial, including developing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and taking and defending depositions
- Experience working collaboratively across teams and offices
- Prior experience representing public entities or land use matters is preferred
