Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Lending Associate to join a leading law firm in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to work with financial institutions and developers on complex real estate and asset-based lending transactions.
Responsibilities
- Represent lenders in real estate and asset-based loan originations
- Support financing transactions involving real estate and other collateral
- Assist developers with acquisitions, sales, and financing matters
- Manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of real estate lending experience
- Experience representing financial institutions (loan origination required)
- Developer-side experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and client service skills
- Illinois Bar admission (or ability to waive in) required
Compensation & Benefits
- $235,000 – $320,000 base salary bonus
