Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law firm’s Private Equity practice. This opportunity offers the chance to work on sophisticated private equity transactions, advising clients across a broad range of corporate matters, including acquisitions, growth equity investments, leveraged recapitalizations, and strategic exits.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Represent clients in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation matters.
Manage significant components of transactions independently while collaborating effectively with deal teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrate a proactive approach, strong business judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex transactional matters.
Bring 4 years of experience in corporate and transactional matters, including private equity and M&A.
Possess outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain relevant bar admission or be eligible to obtain admission promptly.
