What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity Associate Attorney position at Direct Counsel?
The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of large law firm experience working on mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity transactions. This role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, spin-offs, divestitures, joint ventures, buyouts, take-private transactions, co-investments, and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions.
Candidates with experience representing both strategic participants and financial sponsors are particularly encouraged to apply, though strong candidates with a concentration in either area will also be considered. Successful candidates should possess excellent drafting and negotiation skills, superior academic credentials, and a strong commitment to teamwork, client service, and taking on significant responsibility.
Qualifications:

3–6 years of large law firm experience.

Experience with M&A and/or private equity transactions.

Experience with public and private M&A, spin-offs, divestitures, joint ventures, buyouts, take-private transactions, co-investments, and/or portfolio company transactions.

Experience on both the strategic and sponsor side preferred.

Salary Range: $260,000–$495,000, commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
