Life Sciences Technology Transactions Associate – New York

Direct Counsel is representing an Am law firm seeking a mid-level Associate (5–7 years) to join its nationally recognized Technology Transactions team in New York. The team advises leading life sciences companies—including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, digital health, diagnostics, and discovery tools—on licensing, collaboration, and strategic transactions. This role offers exposure to high-profile clients, dynamic deals, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:

• J.D. and admitted to practice in the local jurisdiction

• 5–7 years of transactional and licensing experience at a top law firm representing life sciences companies

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills

• Experience with collaboration, licensing, supply, and other complex commercial agreements, including M&A

• Scientific or business background (biology, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy) is a plus

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, mentor junior attorneys, and provide practical business-focused solutions

Compensation:

$365,000 – $420,000 per year, based on experience; discretionary merit bonuses may apply
