Insurance Recovery & Counseling Associate (Midlevel)
Location: Washington, D.C.
Compensation: $250,000–$360,000 Bonus Full Benefits

About the Role
The firm is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Insurance Recovery and Counseling Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background and experience advising policyholders on complex insurance coverage matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Representing policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation
- Assisting with arbitration proceedings and other dispute resolution matters
- Analyzing and interpreting insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage issues
- Conducting legal research and drafting motions, briefs, memoranda, and client communications
- Advising clients on insurance recovery strategies and coverage matters
- Collaborating with attorneys and clients on sophisticated litigation matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the applicable state bar and in good standing (or ability to become admitted promptly)
- 3–6 years of litigation experience
- Insurance coverage litigation or policyholder representation experience preferred
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $250,000–$360,000 based on experience and other factors
