Locations: New York and Washington D.C. (Hybrid)
Direct Counsel is representing a reputable law firm seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate (4–6 years) to join its collaborative, client-focused investment funds practice and take on a leading role in growing the group.
The ideal candidate will have significant fund formation experience representing sponsors in the structuring, formation, and operation of investment funds, as well as advising on related legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Strong expertise with the Securities Act, Exchange Act, Investment Company Act, and Investment Advisers Act is required. Candidates must also have substantial experience representing institutional investors in private investment funds and advising on all aspects of their investment programs.
Applicants should have comparable experience at a national or international law firm, superior academic credentials, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is $310,000–$390,000 per year, based on year classification. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
