Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join a highly respected Am Law firm in its Miami office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 4–5 years of experience handling sophisticated business disputes in state and federal courts. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients on complex commercial litigation matters and play a key role in all phases of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and conduct written and document discovery.

Research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.

Conduct and defend depositions.

Prepare witnesses for testimony.

Appear at status conferences and court hearings.

Argue motions in state and federal court.

Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy.

Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations.

Collaborate directly with partners and clients on complex business litigation matters.
Qualifications:

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Active membership and good standing with the Florida Bar, or the ability to obtain timely admission as a condition of employment.

4–5 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Experience managing discovery, drafting substantive motions and pleadings, and participating in depositions.

Trial preparation experience is preferred.

Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Fluency in both English and Spanish, including written and verbal legal communications, is strongly preferred.
