The Commercial Mover is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional relocation of office, industrial, and commercial equipment. This role involves packing, loading, transporting, and installing furniture, equipment, and assets while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely pack, wrap, and protect office furniture, equipment, and sensitive items
- Load and unload trucks using proper techniques and equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, lift gates, etc.)
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture, cubicles, and modular systems
- Complete commercial installations according to floor plans, blueprints, and project instructions
- Label, scan, and track inventory to ensure accurate delivery and placement
- Operate moving equipment such as hand trucks, E-crates, panel carts, and forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, truck, and warehouse areas
- Communicate effectively with crew leads, dispatch, and customers on job progress and any issues
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Previous moving, warehouse, or labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Familiarity with commercial moving equipment and installation processes is a plus
- Ability to read and follow floor plans and job instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
