Position Responsibilities
- Create a rigorous, engaging, and student-centered mathematics classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Utilize creative and meaningful instructional strategies that promote conceptual understanding and critical thinking
- Plan instruction utilizing the Curriculum Track platform
- Implement diocesan and school initiatives as directed by school leadership
- Provide accommodations for students with DoSP Student Support Plans (SSPs) in collaboration with administration, counselors, and support staff
- Maintain professional accountability to the Diocese, pastor, principal, parents, students, and colleagues
- Participate in professional growth opportunities and classroom evaluations
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and parent-student handbook
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education through word and example
- Contribute positively to the life of the school community through collaboration, communication, and service
Qualified candidates will possess:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Florida certification in Mathematics (Middle Grades or Secondary certification preferred, or eligibility to obtain certification in the State of Florida)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- A commitment to academic excellence and student growth
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for working with middle school students in a faith-based environment
