St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled 2nd Grade Classroom Teacher to join our dynamic faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who joyfully witnesses to the Faith and is committed to the mission of Catholic education. Because second-grade students receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, the classroom teacher should have a deep love for the Eucharist and the sacramental life of the Church. This teacher will possess a strong understanding of best instructional practices, effective classroom management strategies, and a sincere desire to form the whole child—academically, spiritually, and morally.
The 2nd Grade Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction aligned to all Indiana Academic Standards for Grade 2. Beyond academic excellence, the teacher will intentionally cultivate wonder, virtue, and a love for learning—guiding students in their appreciation of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, and drawing them ever closer to Jesus Christ.
