Spanish Teacher:
St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled Part Time Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who joyfully witnesses to the Faith and is committed to the mission of Catholic education. This teacher will possess a strong understanding of best instructional practices, effective classroom management strategies, and a deep desire to form the whole child—academically, spiritually, and morally.
The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, rigorous instruction to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. This position currently is a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday part time position. We look to expand our Spanish Program in the future. Beyond academic excellence, the teacher will intentionally cultivate wonder, virtue, and a love for learning—guiding students in their appreciation of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness, and drawing them ever closer to Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and implementing lesson plans that meet all Indiana Academic Standards and utilize the Diocesan Curriculum Frameworks.
- Creating a structured, joyful, and orderly classroom environment where all students can learn and feel supported.
- Utilizing best instructional practices to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with accommodations and modifications
- Integrating Catholic identity authentically throughout the curriculum
- Communicating effectively and professionally with parents.
- Collaborating with colleagues in a positive, mission-driven faculty culture.
- Supporting the sacramental and liturgical life of the school.
- Implementing and following all safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by principal.
