Dillard's is seeking an accountant to join its corporate tax department. This role offers a combination of administrative and accounting responsibilities and will report to the property tax manager. This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position located at the Dillard’s corporate headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the property tax manager in maintaining a complete and accurate list of all real and personal property tax bills for each Dillard’s property
Obtain any missing bills by contacting the local taxing jurisdiction either online or by phone
Prepare weekly check requests and ensure each bill is paid timely and accurately
Analyze refund checks for accuracy and prepare deposit slips for review
Manage all incoming and outgoing property tax related mail, including organizing, sorting, scanning, preparing, packaging and tracking
Assist in the preparation of annual personal property tax renditions and annual business license applications for each Dillard’s location
Collaborate with internal teams, store managers and regulatory contacts
Assist with audits, responses to notices and other tax-related inquires
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree required; accounting or other business related major preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
