This role focuses on carrier communication, performance tracking, issue resolution, and day-to-day coordination between carriers and internal logistics teams.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with carrier partners.
- Coordinate daily communication regarding shipments, capacity, and service updates.
- Monitor carrier performance and ensure service expectations are met.
- Assist with negotiating rates and securing transportation capacity.
- Resolve shipment delays, service failures, and carrier-related issues promptly.
- Verify carrier compliance including insurance, contracts, and safety requirements.
- Support onboarding of new carriers and maintain carrier databases.
- Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to support customer needs.
- Track freight market trends and carrier availability.
- Prepare reports related to carrier performance, pricing, and service metrics.

- Salary: $45,000 – $70,000 annually depending on experience and location.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or carrier relations.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of freight operations and transportation terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and data evaluation skills.
- Experience working with truckload (TL), LTL, or freight brokerage operations.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Customer service and conflict-resolution experience.
