Position Overview:

Diesel Power Group is seeking skilled Diesel Engine Technicians & Builders to join our growing team of professionals dedicated to heavy-duty engine remanufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to specialize in Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, MACK, PACCAR, and John Deere engine platforms while working in a clean, organized, and team-oriented environment. You'll build and assemble high-quality diesel engines to exact specifications, follow rigorous quality standards, and continuously develop your skills through ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remanufacture, overhaul, diagnose, and service heavy-duty diesel engines.
• Work across Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, MACK, PACCAR, and John Deere heavy-duty engine platforms.
• Follow detailed technical specifications and strict quality control standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Perform precision measurements — Use micrometers, dial bore gauges, torque tools, and other measurement equipment to verify tolerances and clearances.
• Disassemble and inspect components — Identify wear patterns, failure modes, and reusable vs. non serviceable parts.
• Conduct component cleaning and preparation — Utilize media blasting and chemical processes to prepare parts for assembly.
• Document repair processes — Record measurements, parts usage, and build steps for traceability and warranty compliance.
• Collaborate with parts and inventory teams — Ensure correct components, kits, and revisions are used for each build.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of diesel mechanic experience
• ASE certification (preferred)
• Provide own tools (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)

Compensation:

• The beginning pay rate is based on factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, skill set, training, and certification.
