The Stainless Steel MIG Welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of multiple materials to include aluminum, stainless steel, or others as assigned
Position Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 1 year of MIG welding experience in a production environment
- At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying and measuring material
- At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- At least 3 years of MIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Perform MIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
- Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
- Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
- Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding
- 1st shift position
- Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Overtime as needed
