Welder / (MIG with dual shield)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Cocoa, FL. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with strong MIG welding (dual shield) experience and a solid background in steel fabrication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (dual shield); TIG and arc welding experience is a plus
• Assemble components and perform tack welds as needed
• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Operate fabrication equipment and overhead cranes safely
• Monitor welding processes, adjust heat and settings as needed
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and identify defects
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of welding experience
• Strong knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
• Solid experience in steel fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Must have a clean background and be drug-free

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid welding certification from an accredited institution

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position operates in a manufacturing shop environment with regular exposure to noise, chemicals, and industrial materials. The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
