Senior Superintendent – K-12 / Public Works Construction

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations for complex K-12 and public works construction projects in the Sacramento region. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can manage large project teams, uphold the highest safety and quality standards, and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field operations from preconstruction through project closeout for assigned projects.
- Manage day-to-day site activities, including scheduling, sequencing, manpower, and logistics.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and maintain progress.
- Lead and mentor field staff, including superintendents, foremen, and trades.
- Participate in preconstruction planning and constructability reviews.
- Maintain accurate documentation, daily reports, and as-built records.
- Foster positive relationships with owners, school districts, and public agencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role.
- Proven track record managing ground-up and modernization projects within K-12 or public works sectors.
- Strong knowledge of DSA processes, state and local building codes, and public contracting requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
