Position Summary
The Senior Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting project management and field operations to ensure the successful delivery of commercial and multifamily construction projects. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in construction engineering who is ready to take on greater responsibility in managing project documentation, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager with overall project administration, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Work closely with Superintendents to support field coordination, scheduling, and quality control.
- Review and track project drawings, specifications, and design changes for constructability and compliance.
- Maintain project documentation including logs, meeting minutes, and reports.
- Support procurement of subcontractors, vendors, and materials; assist in bid analysis and buyout.
- Help ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Prepare progress reports and assist in cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in commercial and/or multifamily construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other construction management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
