About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Special Projects to lead and deliver high-impact initiatives within the commercial space. Based in Seattle, WA, this role focuses on managing complex, fast-moving projects that fall outside standard operational workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, excels at cross-functional collaboration, and consistently drives projects from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of special commercial projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication and reporting
- Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
- Manage procurement, contracts, and vendor performance as needed
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Prepare executive-level status updates and post-project evaluations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4 years of project management experience within commercial environments
- Proven experience managing special or non-routine projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in or supporting projects in the Seattle market is a plus
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Experience with commercial real estate, construction, tenant improvements, or large-scale commercial initiatives
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar)
