About the Fresno Grizzlies:
The Fresno Grizzlies, Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, bring exciting baseball and family fun to Chukchansi Park. Known for developing Major League talent and engaging community events, the Grizzlies are Central California’s baseball hub. The Fresno Grizzlies are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Position Overview:
The Concessions Manager is responsible for effectively and profitably managing concessions operations for all baseball and non-baseball events at Chukchansi Park. This position reports to the Director, Food & Beverage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and manage a team of seasonal employees
- Ensure the proper setup of all concession stands, portables, and bars
- Maintain a strong presence in all concession areas throughout the entirety of the event, troubleshooting any issues
- Provide concessions team with all pertinent information, ensure successful operations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of F&B to create an exciting concession menu and ensure proper execution of all offerings
- Work closely with the Director of F&B to manage costs as it relates to labor, food and beverage, operating supplies, smallwares, etc working within established budgets
- Ensure that all equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis
- Constantly communicate with the front office for information and updates regarding attendance
- NPO communication and management
- Sub-contractor communication and management
- Aid Director of F&B in nightly and monthly inventory and reporting
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required; this role will support other departments as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience in the food and beverage industry (high- volume, concessions experience preferred), to include the management of a large staff
- Strong commitment to delivering on an exceptional fan experience
- Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong working knowledge of all facets of the food and beverage industry, including but not limited to food safety, sanitation, inventory control, labor management, quality control, responsible beverage service
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate and influence
- Familiarity with various POS and BOH systems and the ability to troubleshoot these systems when needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work all Fresno Grizzlies home games and non- baseball events
