What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Diakon?

General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing duties, which support the Accounting and Financial Reporting function.
- Prepares and analyzes detailed monthly reporting for DCFCM and Affordable Housing and reports significant variances.
- Prepares account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
- Develops queries, standardized financial reports, and other schedules in the General Ledger system in response to requests from Finance leadership or operational users.
- Prepares proforma financial reporting and analysis models for understanding proposed program changes.
- Supports executives directors to ensure they have full understanding of operating results and key performance indicators.
Education/Training: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field of study required.
Experience: A minimum of three-four (3-4) years of experience working with established accounting procedures in an automated environment preferred.
ADA: Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license.
