Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms that align with project budgets.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of construction projects.
- Monitor project progress on-site and in the office, addressing issues related to construction management, safety, and quality standards.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and implementing effective cost control strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and seamless project execution.
- Review contracts and change orders to ensure compliance with scope of work and budget constraints.
- Conduct site visits regularly to assess progress, safety compliance, and resolve any onsite challenges promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup processes.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and vendors.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for accurate bid preparation.
- Deep understanding of construction estimating principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols gained through hands-on experience.
- Expertise in cost control methods to keep projects within budget while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to develop accurate pricing strategies based on detailed analysis of plans and specifications.
- Solid background in construction management practices including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with contracts management—reviewing agreements to mitigate risks and ensure scope clarity.
