What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer position at DeZURIK?
DeZURIK is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience to drive measurable improvements across our global supply base and play a direct role in product quality and business performance. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that combines technical problem-solving, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. This position is based on-site at our Sartell, MN location, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will work closely with suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to identify quality issues, assess risk, and implement lasting corrective actions. You will manage supplier performance through metrics such as PPM and SCARs, conduct supplier audits, and ensure manufacturing processes—from casting to machining—meet quality and specification requirements. This role includes domestic and international travel, offering the opportunity to build strong supplier partnerships and influence outcomes firsthand.
You will spend your time investigating nonconformances, leading root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why), challenging supplier responses, and driving improvements that prevent recurrence—not just containment. You will also lead supplier reviews, refine scorecards, and help strengthen data and process controls across the organization.
Success in this role starts with learning our supplier base and key issues, progressing to owning corrective actions and audits, and delivering measurable improvements in supplier performance within your first 90 days.
We are looking for someone with strong technical credibility, experience in manufacturing processes, and the ability to confidently challenge suppliers while aligning internal stakeholders. DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $75,577 to $94,472 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
