Brief Description
Key Responsibilities
This role supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards to manage risk, ensure compliance, and promote continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier operations. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in product validation, supplier quality, and ensuring successful new product introductions and ongoing production quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of global quality standards and best practices across the organization
- Lead and support OEM customer quality requirements, including audits, print reviews, compliance, and documentation
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, including implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to enable successful product launches
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies using statistical analysis and quality tools
- Drive integration of Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, and CAPA processes
- Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain product and process quality requirements
- Assist with customer communication related to audits, nonconformances, and technical concerns
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards
- Strong knowledge of core quality tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, root cause analysis)
- Experience with ISO methodologies and certification maintenance
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of continuous improvement principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality required
- Equivalent experience may be considered:
- High School Diploma 10 years of related quality experience
- Trade School Diploma 3 years of related quality experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or supplier quality
- Standing/walking on a hard surface
- Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. / Frequent lifting of 10-24 lbs.
- Occasionally carry 25-50 lbs. / Frequently carry 10-24 lbs.
