What You’ll Do
As Plant Manager, you’ll oversee production, warehousing, and distribution operations — ensuring the plant runs safely, efficiently, and profitably. You’ll set the tone for a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Driving a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Promoting a strong commitment to quality across all levels of the operation.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing managers and supervisors to achieve operational goals.
- Building a culture of trust, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Developing and managing annual budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.
- Implementing and optimizing Dexter’s operating systems to maximize performance.
- Overseeing production efficiency, cost management, and quality metrics.
- Maintaining performance standards such as:
- Safety TCIR rating below 1.0 (target 0)
- On-Time Delivery (OTD) of 98% or better
- Championing Lean and constraint methodology improvements to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Participating in daily and strategic meetings to align production with company objectives.
- Building and nurturing a culture of accountability, innovation, and opportunity for all employees.
What You Bring
- 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven success managing plant operations — including production, safety, quality, and financial performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive results.
- Experience with ISO quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma).
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- Equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.
