Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker I to join our manufacturing team in the Blade Finishing Department. This role is vital in supporting our mission to produce durable, high-quality cutlery that meets the needs of professionals worldwide. Based at our facility, you will contribute to maintaining our tradition of excellence by performing a combination of production tasks including loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, and adjusting and operating machinery.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Porter McLeod polishing machines
- Load parts
- Apply polishing compound
- Set up, operation, routine cleaning and maintenance of automatic washing machine
- Perform roll changes as required
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete any other duties assigned by supervisor or department manager
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or factory settings preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods as well as the ability to lift 40 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong ability to work as a team.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- Able to comply with quality standards and production priorities.
- Prior machining experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English which is the required language of the position.
