What are the responsibilities and job description for the Polisher position at MICRON PRODUCTS INC & SUBSIDIARIES?
I. JOB PURPOSE
Maintain and ensure all cobalt chrome, titanium (or other alloy) products are finished to meet customer and quality inspection specifications and production schedules.
II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Read, understand, and follow Work Instructions and related data collection documents
- Able to keep pace with high volume customer specific work on single piece Implants or new product sample trials
- Grit blast femoral implants or trial run products per work instructions
- Using belt sanders and buffing wheels:
- polish cobalt-chrome, titanium (or other alloys) orthopedic parts to a mirror finish to meet customer specifications
- using high-speed, quick-change grinding units with minimal supervision.
- Work with Dremel and hand tools to polish small areas on femoral implants or tibial trays
- Completes all in process documentation/records (travelers, shop orders, process log, MRB, etc.) following Good Documentation Practices
- Utilize computer to input daily finished product, label information
- Must understand and follow quality management systems/ ISO 13485 procedures
- Assist operators in other areas of the operation when needed
- Keep work area and all related equipment clean
- Follow all safety requirements set by the manufacturers of the equipment and the company
- Must adhere to all company policies
- Recommend improvements to product and process
- Report all non-routine equipment issues to area leader
- Report quality issues to area leader
III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)and 6 months or more Manufacturing experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills - input daily information
- Attention to detail and able to follow instructions
Salary : $22 - $25
